Willis U. Arnold

Obituary Willis U. Arnold, age 80, resident of Coweta went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at his home in Coweta, OK surrounded by his family. Willis was born on May 19, 1938 in Porter, OK to Hoy Walter and Lucy Francis (Black) Arnold. He attended school in Haskell. Willis married the love of his life, Wanda Louise Pofahl on May 29, 1959 in Tulsa, OK. He was a mechanic for most of his life. He owned and operated Skelly Oil Company in Tulsa from 1959 to 1973. Willis worked in carpentry for 15 years and retired from McIntosh Automotive in Coweta. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, cooking and going to the car races. Willis is survived by his wife of 59 years, Wanda Arnold of the home in Coweta, OK; two sons, Richard Arnold and wife, Joyce of Coweta, OK and Michael Dale Arnold of Coweta, OK; four grandchildren, Rocky Arnold, Jesse Arnold, Cameron Arnold and Brandon Arnold; eight great grandchildren, Owen, Brady, Layla, Thomas, Garon, Aidan, William and Maison; one sister, June Hendricks of Wagoner, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, Hoy Walter and Lucy Francis Arnold, three brothers, JC Arnold, Roy Clayton Arnold and Jimmy Arnold and four sisters, Mavis Sanders, Leona Clayton, Ellen Shanks and Noma Arnold. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home. Services celebrating the life of Willis will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Lawrence Gann officiating. Burial will follow in Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, OK. Pallbearers are Cameron Arnold, Jay Arnold, Steven Arnold, Ricky Arnold, Billy Arnold and Matt Arnold.
