James W. 'Bill' Allen

Obituary We said goodbye for now to Bill Allen on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014 at the age of 83 years. He was a wonderful Husband, a loving Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and friend! Fondly referred to as "Peep", we will carry him in our hearts forever. Bill was born on Feb. 9, 1931 to Jesse William and Cora Pearl (Hulsey) Allen in Tulsa, OK. He was a 1946 graduate of Tulsa Central High School. Bill and Jean Ann Lemons were married on Nov. 24, 1967 in Nowata, OK. He owned Jerry's Dock Construction and was a Product Designer. He also worked at Fred E. Cooper in Tulsa, OK as Purchasing and Inventory Manager. Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles and dirt bikes, fishing, camping, traveling, flying and playing sports with the family. He had a wonderful sense of humor which he loved sharing with his family as often as possible. Bill's passion was playing the piano, both for family and professionally and he enjoyed reading to his children and grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sons, James William Allen, II and Thomas Andrew Allen. Bill is survived by the love of his life, Jean Ann Allen of the home in Coweta, OK; 6 children, Carol Allen-Koscheski and husband, Rod, of Claremore, OK, Sandy Sue Massey and husband, Michael, of Coweta, OK, Julie Ann Fox and husband, Steve Gates, of Princeton, NJ, Jean Marie Allen of Claremore, OK, Jesse Robert Allen of Spartanburg, SC and James Henry Allen and wife, Karen, of Spartanburg, SC; 11 grandchildren, Erica Shaye King, Emeri Beth Elson, Makayla Dawn Massey, Mallory Dean Massey, Aauna Manoah Massey, Todd Koscheski, Cassie Rumsey, Catherine Liberty Payne, Jessica Jean Allen, Jennifer Jo Allen and Tonya Marie Sizemore; 3 great grandchildren, Kase John King, Marjorie Claire Tucker and Emily Jean Tucker; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services celebrating Bill's life will be at 1 PM on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014 at Wright-Brown Family Funeral Home Chapel in Coweta, OK with Rev. Cindy A. Ritter of Hospice of Green Country officiating. Burial will follow in Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Mike Massey, Mark Lemons, Rod Koscheski, Todd Elson, Mike Phillips, Greg Phillips and Rod Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers are Steve Gates and Tim Schweikhard.
