Obituary Carolyn D. "Carol" Taylor, age 73, resident of Coweta went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning, January 11, 2018 at the Clarehouse in Tulsa, OK surrounded by her family. She was born on March 27, 1944 to Logan and Katherine (Brannon) Yount in Ashland, OK. Carol was raised in Bugtussle, OK where she attended school until the 8th grade and then graduated from Crowder High School in Crowder, OK. She married Raymond D. Taylor on July 23, 1971 in Tulsa, OK. Carol was a Certified Nurse Assistant who had a gift for caring for others. She worked for Dr. Hanson in Tulsa, Dr. Nelms in Coweta and retired in 2017 from Coweta Medical Group. While working at Coweta Medical Group, she received the Nurse of the Year award for 3 consecutive years in Coweta. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Coweta. Carol enjoyed golfing, fishing, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Carol lived a full life, bringing love and laughter to anyone who had the privilege of meeting her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Taylor in 2008 and her parents, Logan and Katherine Yount. Carol is survived by 1 daughter, Stacey Edmiston of Haskell, OK; 3 brothers, Bobby Yount and wife, Wanda of Crowder, OK, Wence Yount and wife, Janice of Bugtussle, OK and Terry Yount of Bugtussle, OK; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Edmiston, Jodi Edmiston and Jessica Edmiston; 1 great grandson, Bentley Scott Stidham; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Coweta, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol to the Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, OK 74133.
